    • The Federal College Work-Study Program at SCC provides qualified students the opportunity to obtain part-time employment during the academic year. A student can identify their work-study eligibility by examining their financial aid awards in Self-Service. Eligibility will be indicated by the inclusion of a "Work-Study" award and amount. However, the inclusion of a work-study award does not guarantee employment through the program. Due to the limited amount of federal funds and the limited availability of work-study positions, not every qualified student will obtain employment through the program. Students must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) in order to participate in the federal work-study program.
    • Jobs are located on-campus or off-campus (off-campus positions are limited to not-for-profit community service based positions). Openings will be posted on bulletin boards on the West Burlington and Keokuk campuses as well as online at www.scciowa.edu/admissions/costaid/finaid/typesaid/workstudy.aspx. Beginning with the 2025-2026 award year, wage rates will be $13.50 per hour on-campus and $14.00 per hour off-campus. Award amounts are based on calculated need as determined by information provided on the FAFSA.
    • This application will be reviewed by the Financial Aid Office to verify student eligibility and then forwarded on to the SCC staff or faculty members who will be making the hiring decision. Once hired, successful candidates will need to report to the financial aid office and complete required paperwork before they can begin working.
